@gcrkrause yeah, TalkBack works quite well. On linux though.. currently nothing really works. https://odilia.app/ is definitely worth keeping an eye on, but not really usable yet

Anyway I brought this up at the LLM discussion group at an academic conference this week:

@weirdwriter @tobi even that didn't work. I wonder though, isn't this also an issue on Mastodon, where images attached to toots also have duplicate alt and title attributes with the media description?
Guess the only right approach will be a better mechanism to show alt text on media and custom emoji, that doesn't use title at all. Something to ponder about

I wonder if adding an explicit aria label to the image element would override the alt and title mess, but could just make it worse as well
