@thufie biggest issue brought up with this is that by accidentally leaking your main password, you leak the passwords to *everything*, whereas with statefull stuff they'd also need to get your password database/files

sticking with pass for now

oh; what did I do in my mastodon absence?

Added some patches to our hackerspace Jitsi (which I can't upstream because fuck CLA that requires legal name + address), setting the default volume for users lower so you can also make people louder relatively, and adding glowing borders to indicate who is speaking (similar to BBB) oh and patching an IP leak vector to other participants (custom avatar urls)

Did a bunch of NixOS stuff for the eventually new pixie.town server, started publishing my deployment config at git.pixie.town/f0x/nixos and writing about random (cool) snippets i learn on cthu.lu/projects/nixos/

Playing Veloren, a great voxel MMORPG written in Rust and fully open source veloren.net

will probably reduce following to just mutuals, (might make a script idk), turned off sounds for boost/fav, staying away from federated timeline. oh and keeping the tab non-pinned

uni musing

just struck me what makes me so disinterested in this design project, even more than it's first level counterpart; PO2 solely focusses on the first design stages, and there's no barely any prototyping and for sure no actual thing being made, and that's like, the opposite way i do any hardware project.. (start with proto first, improve on that). PO1 at least went through all four 'design stages' and ended with a prototype

not a bdsm podcast
