like... they literally give you text-only info on how to better render those nodes

smh, why are none of the text only browsers smart enough to understand ARIA tags...

@s0 good news, I asked the mapper/my hackerspace for help, and found it!
ikea.com/au/en/p/blahaj-soft-t
super weird that it doesn't show up in any searches though...

@s0 oh noo!
that's so weird because peetz0r.gitlab.io/blahaj-map/
does list various blahaj's in different locations, and iirc that just scrapes the same ikea website??

So suddenly there’s a lot of attention around email and it’s exposing how many people in the web community still use Gmail. Like actually trust all your personal information and communication (and that of your potentially marginalised or vulnerable contacts) with Google. 🤮

There are a lot of hard problems and lack of alternatives when it comes to rights-respecting technology. But email (as imperfect as it is) has a fair few affordable alternative providers. Small change, big difference.

Maybe I’ve not been saying it loudly or frequently enough for the last however-many years…

Privacy is not a luxury.

Same with accessibility. Neither are luxuries, they’re life-sustaining rights. And you’re unusually privileged if you’ve not had to care about either.

my talent? almost falling asleep *while* drinking coffee

@proto yes and it's disgustingly and ironically inaccessible

i didn't wanna call it something ableist

@stolas@elekk.xyz this really words well one of the reasons why I stopped playing. I just felt bad doing it at some point?

and playing for just the mechanics of laying out factories etc, I might as well just go design and route actually useful pcbs haha

@catgirl@lgbtqia.is something that helped money-wise was posting an instance announcement (Administration > Announcements) with info about my costs and asking people to help out

but moderating and maintaining this stuff can be really taxing, could be good to try find some more people to help with that (through those same announcements perhaps). Or worst case, giving advance notice that you will be shutting down, to give people time to migrate/export their stuff :>

just had someone email me that my pgp key was "male formed" and I know that's just a typo but ewww, imagine my key being male formed

so for some reason the mastodon moderation federation interface shows "x users followed by us", but won't show you *who* is following who. So here is a messy postgres query that shows which of your local users follow people from BAD_DOMAIN.COM, so you can inform them after suspending

select accounts.username as remote_user, local_users.username as followed_by from accounts inner join follows on accounts.id = follows.target_account_id and domain='BAD_DOMAIN.COM' inner join accounts as local_users on follows.account_id=local_users.id;
