re: nix woes
@ln it's a steep learning curve for sure.. the fragmented bits of documentation leave a lot to be desired.
Looking at other people's code, either in nixpkgs or various people's published stuff helps me a lot, https://cs.github.com/ with lang:nix can be useful. And https://nix-cheatsheet.pixie.homes/ as a language reference

also got a small black skadis to mount on the side of the leg, I'll be fastening my router/wifi-ap/extension cord stuff on because rn it's just a big mess on the floor
pretty much got my new desk figured out, TROTTEN manual sit/stand, tried it a couple times and the hand-cranking isn't so bad. Do want a medium sized table though, so most likely hacking on a RODULF 140x180 (because the TROTTEN only comes in 120x70 or 160x80)

Only half an hour after we said "no really we're stopping at midnight", we have launched a satellite and finished the first stage of the game while accruing an absurd amount of both sleep and tech debt.
@blindscribe it's the most engaging podcast I've ever listened. They're very good story-tellers, and DnD is used as a mechanism to support that, not just the game
so glad i signed up for the Dungeons and Daddies patreon, I've listened to at least a hundred hours of their free podcast, and now rapidly approaching a similar amount of their episode breakdown podcast and other bonus content
