@dankwraith I wasn't expecting an inspection, but security above all!
mine is #`FU`xL[B_m\EXp2y'M^].?*7Qw

looking forward to your reply and kind regards,

subtooty maybe?

hmm, automated script that pulls info from a third-party service and then suspends them, what could go wrong

a guide to walking barefoot (5 / end of thread)

@anarchiv also cool thing I subconsciously trained a *reflex* to immediately shift weight away if I feel anything sharp, which helps a lot with thistles/garbage in the grass

@root I mean Mastodon has some wacky webfinger stuff that does allow a redirection, but it's pretty fragile I think. It does allow me to run the instance at social.pixie.town while keeping @pixie.town id's

@y0x3y@hackers.town I have that with very early mornings even more, somehow.
But generally being awake while the city sleeps is great

@anarchiv @GreenandBlack@sunbeam.city it's so Invidious can display gab-comments on videos instead of comments coming from youtube

@anarchiv @GreenandBlack@sunbeam.city gab has a third-party commenting thing, so you can leave nazi comments on something but they're stored on gab's server.
The dev had no ethical problems with implementing that into invidious, only reason it's not in yet is because the gab-thing has bad specifications

github.com/omarroth/invidious/

@GreenandBlack@sunbeam.city @anarchiv it's quite nice, shame the developer is a fash-collaborator

@f0x you might find this interesting: gdpr.eu/gdpr-consent-requireme

These websites also typically violate particulate consent (Look up "Consent must be specific" in the link above) and the ability to easily change your mind ("Consent can be revoked").

The GDPR is a eass of legal language as you'd expect but where the idea of 'consent' applies.. it actually makes sense.

Consenting to A doesn't consent to B and C. I can change my mind. I can say 'No'.

patterns in lgtbq-phobia/racism in countries

Something I see a lot in the Netherlands is ridiculing 'SJW' things by saying something racist/misogynistic/etc and ending with a "but you're not allowed to say that anymore". Or ridiculing by just combining as many of the gender/identity markers as possible

I wonder if people from other areas have similar or different 'patterns'

@polychrome don't think that'd fly under GDPR, but I'm pretty sure those cookie walls are *already* illegal

@polychrome iirc most adblockers will add a context menu option to block the right-clicked element, which could be quicker than devtools

@aeveltstra I'd say most developers never cared about accessibility in the first place

@kaniini I basically always go camping anyways, in my own tent :)

lewd

@goat@hellsite.site I thought to myself why this wasn't CW'd then I realised I just opened it already without noticing
