how do you write poetry without continuously thinking you're just being pretentious/deep without meaning
maybe it's just that the other option, actually being sincere, is even scarier
also something about aestheticization of sadness etc
not sure if that's always a bad thing though, it reminds me of vibes over plot. aesthetics can still be meaningful?

maybe i should try writing happy poetry lol, but then it's easy to get sappy? can't win huh (and can't write, anyways)
@f0x i say "seems to be" because my standards and judgement are way ahead of my writing skills currently
@f0x the only times i've actually written stuff is when i wasn't paying attention at all the meta stuff and how it'd be perceived. got some feels from something and built on them.
even if you want your writing to be more controlled sloppy bad art seems to be a precursor. embrace it.
