A desperate plea into the world: does anyone have a single ball (or part ball) of Woolcraft Harvest Chunky in the green (444) colourway?
Mum has finally knit a sweater after years of convincing her that she can... and she's hit yarn chicken before finishing the neckband, and the yarn is now out of stock everywhere. If I could purchase from someone's stash I would be eternally grateful.

I find that the concept of enshittification has really helped my facility designs for ShadowRun.
I tend to over engineer mega corporate defenses, but if I then go through a process of figuring out where costs could be cut, it significantly improves the playability and the immersion.
Who can cover two job roles at once? Who hasn’t been replaced because of the hiring freeze? What systems have not received regular maintenance?
Open question for people who make art prints, stickers, etc. at home: is there an entry-level inkjet/inktank printer you'd recommend? I've been sitting on getting one together with my sister for producing stickers on, and I realize now's as good of a time as any. 
Bonus points if it has native support in Linux. I know Brother is good about that, but I don't think their ink tanks are refillable in the least, which is a pity

Discord is a communication tool. It's for chatting and voice calls during gaming sessions with friends, like TeamSpeak before it. That's its main use-case!
Using it for anything more than that is just you making things harder for yourself and everyone else
Everything you do on Discord is invisible to the open internet and not crawlable by search engines and thus not discoverable to anyone not joined on your server
It's going against everything that makes the internet itself useful in the first place: free flow of information

hey anyone out there good with texture work? i need some work done. i can pay. 
My headphones broke last week (I'm suspecting frayed enamel wiring between the ANC power and signal in one ear), a friend ordered me a new set as a gift, and as a bonus, the airplane adapter that came with it is the precise thing I need to replace a broken jack on a lapel mic my old roommates left behind so I can use it as a way to record and maybe amplify my classical guitar for experimental purposes? Hmmm
At times I feel like understanding #parody is a lost art. A running #pinball joke for loose coil wires has been "it should be wireless so this won't happen". As a gag I cut of the wire lugs from a dead coil and printed a custom Bluetooth wrapper for it. I posted that on social media.
The amount of "it can't work", "scam!" and calling me incompetent and/or stupid was just unbelievable. Some took time to explain why this can't possibly work. All this after all the PCB repair work I've posted.
