I've also been made aware that media marked as sensitive (when you hit the 'mark media as sensitive' checkbox rather than using the content warning feature) doesn't mark the media as sensitive on all platforms, so yeah, ideally use the full CW :)

One thing my mother has advised for people in the areas with 40c/104f weather is if you can, soak in a bathtub filled with cold water.

This is apparently a thing people used to do in the olden days to beat the heat, back before they had air conditioning.

Also, keeping cool is especially important for older folks, as the body has a harder time regulating its temperature as you get older.

Hey everyone please stop sharing that plankton article, there’s no actual linked research and the org GOES’ website is only pointing out what most ecologists have already been warning about for ages, which is that we’ve got about 25 years left before we have a massive plankton problem. If this is something you didn’t know about already then I hate for this to be your intro to ocean acidification but FWIW current plankton populations are like, still alive
