I was in #Toronto visiting the kid this weekend. Stopped by an #electronics store I had heard about, called "Supremetronic”…
Really, it was a section in the basement of a Home Hardware, directly next to the paint counter.
What a strange little nook of availability that was. Hundreds of bins of discrete components, a few bins of ICs, and some essentials like ribbon cables, perf board, and connectors. A few kits, and some project boxes.

It's set up! Finally! And memtest was already on the ISO, I didn't have to jump through hoops to get a writable boot environment, it just... wasn't in the GRUB menu for some reason?
Man idefk anymore. I'm tired. It's installed, I got the badRAM map added to the GRUB defaults and everything, I can worry about finishing everything later.
This would be a lot easier if I didn't have to worry about copying over badmem maps every time, but that's what I get for working off secondhand parts with the current Situation(tm)
I just installed grub manually and... the live image is hardcoded to use the ISO label to mount its partitions

Sure is Weird how some developers rushed to add age verification to linux when the bills weren't even law yet. I wonder if any of that will be rolled back now... 
Dear grub, why aren't you grubbing? Are the x64 modules on this ISO just cooked? Am I gonna have to boot this in i386 mode? Please tell me I won't have to boot this in i386 mode.
