For what it's worth, I talked to the vet about her condition, and I do not blame my ex-roommate for her death. His neglect still caused her distress, but there was no stopping the cancer that had gone undetected until the end.

After a medical emergency this morning, my cat Mams was euthanized at 10:55 AM EDT.

She struggled so much from her birth in a Windsor parking lot, but when she came into my life in 2020 I gave her all the care and love in the world, and when the pain got to be too much in the end, I gave her peace too.

Her final days at least were spent in the company of all who loved her throughout, she was comfortable, and got to explore, enjoy new treats, and see animals on the patio of my dad's place from the window. She was fulfilled.
