@noelle It can aggravate my insomnia by waking me up when I finally get to sleep, but sleeping or waking, I can usually do a quick review of my surroundings to assure the source of the sound or flash wasn't anything, e.g. nothing else responds to the sound, nothing in my room let out the magic smoke, etc.
