A dear friend of mine was wanting an analog method of communicating for the chance he goes #nonverbal when he doesn't have access to his phone. Inspiration flashed through my mind immediately and I got to work... And a couple weeks later, I've got a finished prototype!

There are some issues with them, but overall I'm pleased as punch with how these turned out!

How many of us #neurodivergent folks out here would benefit from something like this? Should I make more?

My semi-anual reminder to turn on braille mode in Google Docs/sheets/slides if you are a screenreader user. Do this even if you are not a braille user. It does far more than enable support for braille displays.

What it actually does is place the document in an off-screen content editable. This allows you to use normal screenreader commands to access things, E.G. insert+down arrow for say all. With braille mode off, the content is in a black box that communicates state changes via live regions, relying 100% on the browser to do so correctly. This mode is considered legacy and is no longer developed, despite it being the default.

This has been the case for 8+ years but Google is bad at branding, leaving it to me to inform the good people of Mastodon.

It's been pointed out that we T-takers, trans-men, transmascs, non-binary people who want testosterone for whatever reason, have not been bringing our experiences of it to the fedi the way those taking E do.

So I'm gonna start sharing some #earlyTMemories with the tags #tDiary and #testosteroneDiary (going to do some reviving of the #LiamsTJourney tag while I'm at it)

Hopefully these things will catch on eventually, so those looking to hear our stories can find 'em. It's so reassuring to hear the stories of others when you're looking into taking a big step like starting taking testosterone.
