I've been making a bit of music again, just finished this trance track today. It's under a creative commons license for anyone needing some trance music for w/e reason

So I've talked about Inochi2D, I'm making 2 apps to accompany the spec itself.

Inochi Creator and Inochi Session.
Inochi Creator is a tool that allows you to rig layered 2D art in to a 2D puppet that can move, animation is done through 3D transformation and deformation of vertices you specify in the editor.

Inochi Session will be a tool to allow you to stream using your 2D puppet.
github.com/Inochi2D/inochi-ses (nothing here yet)

@TrechNex@queer.party it’s an alternative, paradigm of Inochi2D is different from Live2D

I haven't really talked much about it here, but I'm working on an open source alternative to Live2D which allows you to rig 2D characters (through layered images) for use in real-time animation in games and vtubing. It's optimized for complex animation, so recommended for stuff like visual novels, and again vtubing.

You can find the project here

I feel me and Chris need to get an other person on board to help with maintaining the fork version of Glimpse at some point because a bit too much stuff is happening in my life right now to find appropriate time to sit down and properly work on it, hhhhhhh

I was going to work on Glimpse this easter break, but something came up. I've been dealing with a terrible cough that's not COVID for the past long while and it's gotten worse. I'm going to get it checked soon as there's a non-zero chance that it could be lung cancer

@elfi Things are pretty eventful in Glimpse NX land though! People are working hard to get the design down and get everything ready to start coding on it. I'm excited to see what @brainblasted@social.libre.fi and the others are working on to come to fruition :)

If you people don't know, recently Bobby Moss was forced to leave the Glimpse project due to his employer. This means I have to take over handling the fork.

As of current I don't have time to maintain it, but I plan to get 0.2.2 released during my easter break. Which will be the last version of fork-glimpse before it goes maintinence/hotfix-only.

Glimpse NX is now the main focus of the rest of the contributors, which I have minimal involvement in, in terms of coding. So I hope you will support their work going forward.

@shahaan@eldritch.cafe @ljwrites Bobby is no longer a part of the project as he was forced to leave due to his employer (Oracle).

At some point I'll pick up Glimpse 0.2.2 and get it out in to people's hands. But right now I simply don't have the time.

@ljwrites You can find the AppImage here appimage.github.io/Glimpse-Ima, the Snap on the snap store and the Flatpak on Flathub

@ljwrites Heyo, one of the Glimpse folks here. We generally don't support the Glimpse AUR package. It's a user created package we don't control.

We recommend either running Glimpse from Flatpak, Snap or AppImage.

It appears that glimpses DNS has been hijacked by some Chinese site showing the periodic table. I’ve poked Chris about it
