the concept of the american dream is inherently racist and classist. it's all about escaping the problems caused by capitalism (poverty, crime, etc.) and of course the spectre of "crime" that all these middle-class families are trying to escape is so racially coded you could write a book about it (and i'm sure several people have). the promise of upward mobility is only for white folks.this applies doubly to gated communities, which are just shitty fortresses for paranoid racists.
and our dear leader is promising to remove the troubling shadow of scaaaaaaaaaaaary low-income housing from these white-flight suburbs. it's two steps from declaring it straight-up illegal to be poor.

@purringChaos the best advice I can offer is to drown it in hot sauce, sriracha works especially well for this and doesn't feel too out of place in more traditional Asian cuisines

tofu is basically a canvas for flavor and it'll go with most any spices, my family would pan fry it (cut into chunks and put in a pan of olive oil over medium-high heat until browned) and then use that as a meat substitute or just eat it straight
