@efi @CyclopsCaveman The first game I pirated was Freddi Fish. My disc had been run over with a chair and cracked, so I checked the game out from the library and made a copy to my computer. I think I was 4 or 5 years old.

@wxcafe@social.wxcafe.net Yeah, it's handy being able to pull the drive out of my laptop, on my x230 it only requires one screw to get the drive out, and I have 4x2.5 hotswap bays on my desktop. I've moved over to NVME storage for the boot drive on my desktop though. The speed is nice, but hotswapable NVME drives are expensive and mostly used in servers.
@wxcafe@social.wxcafe.net I set up borgmatic to make disk images of my laptop to my server every hour over SSH. It's incremental, compressed, deduplicated, and encrypted. You could also point it at an external drive.
