@Frinkeldoodle Nice, maybe I'll try that. I saw that gamecube emulation under GNU/Linux on the switch apparently works pretty well. I'd like to try running Windwaker on it. Also, having an actual web browser would be nice. The used switch I bought is pre 2018, so it should be hackable on a hardware level.

I just ran across a good article with illustrations and explanations of different kinds of intersex genitals. All children deserve to be protected from genital cutting without consent, whether they are male, female, or intersex.

@Frinkeldoodle Nice. I got a good deal on a broken switch recently and repaired it. I've been thinking about trying homebrew on it, but apparently nintendo has gotten better at detecting that and will ban you from online play and updates.

@tom The expert works well. It's nice having a middle and back button, along with the scroll wheel. I prefer the CST I have at my desk at home, but the expert is less expensive and doesn't require modding to have a back button.

@tom I used to bring my mx ergo to work and switch it between my docked laptop and my desktop at work. Now I have a kensington expert and orbit at my desk at work, and I use the ergo at home and school

@ghostwife@mastodon.social It is still not uncommon to circumcise infants without any anesthetic. Last I checked, at least 40% of infant circumcisions in the US are still done without anesthetic. They are strapped down to a board as they have the most sensitive part of their body cut off. The foreskin and glans are fused together at birth, until a boy is at least three years old. When a young child or infant is circumcised, they are torn apart with a metal probe. Even when some anesthetic is used, it can still be very painful. The videos are horrible to watch.

Even if the operation was completely painless, cutting the genitals of someone who can't consent is wrong. Male, female, and intersex children need to be protected from genital cutting. Only a consenting adult should be able to make that choice for themselves. Along with consent, adults can receive proper pain control, and it is less dangerous than performing surgery on an infant.
