There's also some cool motion in xmpp and an open source discord alternative that just opened up to alpha, iirc. @j3s might remember that name better than I do.
@starless @aurynn revolt.chat is what you’re remembering - sadly it’s not decentralized. i think matrix is _it_ - and it’s just a matter of time before it has discord parity.
