this is often a conflicting feeling

i hate war but gosh i love seeing planes go zoom

a side effect of the neural link is that due to using the brain of the pilot as extra computing power, the brain becomes more wired more towards efficient puzzle solving. the amount of sudoku books lying around is tremendous. you almost never see a Doll without a page or two from a puzzle book. tables are covered in puzzle notes when Dolls are present. No we can't/won't stop them, its enriching for them.

pilots had to be roboticized when fighter craft became too advanced for humans, too many Gs. A Doll's body is much hardier when faced with increasing amounts of g-forces. a neural connection offers direct access to the craft's sensors and weaponry.
