my ereader can run emacs and nethack now fear me

its actually just a full pocket pc on eink now

the only thing I don't have is Libreoffice since I cant get an X Server atm

are there any powerful-ish cli spreadsheeting applications I could take a look at?

it is possible to have an X Server but the last time I tried it was terribly janky and not very usable :(

so I made this possible using the armv7 minimal rootfs that Alpine provides, mounting a 2gb image and unzipping it in there, following some mobileread forum instructions to create a script to mount some Kobo linux stuff into Alpine so its accessible while chrooted, then chrooted into it and voila

yipee

heres the mobileread thread by NiMa that really helped me with setting it up:
mobileread.com/forums/showthre

their instructions involve sshing or telnetting into your Kobo but I did it all on device from Koreader's terminal plugin.

@lyncia there is also ses , simple emacs spreadsheet. You may have to choose based on what fucks with the eink refresh rate the least.
