Something I'd really like to work on this next year of my life is to not say/think "stupid" or "dumb" or "idiot" to myself when I make small mistakes. It's frequent and automatic, and I know it's unhealthy.
I think having a replacement response would help. Maybe "oops"? Anyone else managed to break this habit?

I'm building something which could uncharitably be described as "an open proxy providing attack amplification as a service", but which I'd rather describe as "a core part of tools like RSS feed readers": ask it to monitor a URL, and it'll check periodically to see if it has changed and tell you so. I'd like to make it a publicly available service so people can more easily build new tools for noticing when web pages change. What are some ways I can encourage good applications and discourage abuse?

I lost the original source, but a historian on Bluesky pointed out that, over time, cities are more real and durable than countries.
That's been rattling around my head for weeks. Not sure what to do with it yet -- abandoning folks who live elsewhere certainly ain't it -- but it feels significant.

the early lenovo T14/P14s keyboard, trackpoint and trackpad combo seems to be the right size and depth to make an input cover for the Framework 13; going any older than that would add height
