Every time. I think this is one of those things about humanity that I find comforting. We have these "call and response" type of traditions and no matter what else is going on, at least a few of us uphold them.

in recent years I've quite frequently seen errors on websites which appear to be a backend error but disappear when you switch browsers, incredibly annoying

Chat I finally managed to gather enough motivation to mop my floor and I don't care that it's like the most basic thing I'm proud of myself cuz taking care of one's living space can be hard as hell

random somebody-else's-tool promotion: klaash.github.io/xkcdcolorpick is a color picker based on the xkcd color survey some years ago, which asked a load of geeky-webcomic-reading netizens to name random hex value colors. as such, it's a convenient way to either find colors via English language names or find popular names for colors similar to a specific hex color.

hot take, tesla

I have little sympathy for Tesla owners who are getting their car vandalized, to be honest.

The signs of Musk being a fascist and using Tesla to fund and legitimize it were there for many years, you just didn't want to look.

Willful igorance has consequences.

Challenge bigotry whenever you see it. It doesn't have to be neat and tidy, it just needs to be done 🫡

good things about getting older:

- realizing that you are part of a rich tapestry of history that leads back far longer than you or anyone you know remembers

- starting to be the source of those cool stories people in their younger years hear and wish they were there for

- noticing you have a rich body of knowledge on *something*, even if it's godawful fandom drama that wasn't funny at the time

- being more comfortable with what you are and are not good at, and what you can and cannot do

- under most circumstances people start giving less of a fuck about what you wear and how you act, if only because they've already written you off as uncool by sight

- realizing this is a good thing and choosing not to be cool in lieu of being fully yourself was, in fact, the right life choice
