Op Wikipedia NL is recent een stemming afgerond over of er überhaupt genderneutrale voornaamwoorden gebruikt kunnen worden, en zo ja, hoe. Gelukkig is die stemming vóór uitgevallen, dus binnenkort zal het eindelijk toegestaan zijn om op Wikipedia NL naar non-binaire personen te verwijzen met voornaamwoorden zoals hen/hun en die/diens!
Maar natuurlijk op de overlegpagina over die stemming weer een weerzinwekkende stroom transhaat...

Als kers op de 💩-taart toch wel dit stukje:

Daarop mijn reactie:Ik begrijp sowieso niet dat het überhaupt toegestaan is om op Wikipedia uitspraken te doen zoals hierboven. Een post met vergelijkbare abjecte haat jegens andere bevolkingsgroepen zoals zwarte mensen of Joden zou je direct een blok opleveren, maar kennelijk is het oké om queer mensen op dergelijke wijze te bejegenen, en dat moet nu echt eens een keer afgelopen zijn. Ik begrijp überhaupt niet hoe mensen het in hun hoofd halen om zulke uitlatingen publiekelijk te doen. Echt ziekmakend beneden alle peil. Ga je schamen.
En weer een reactie van die 💩:Of iets beledigend of kwetsend is, is strikt subjectief. Niemand wordt gedwongen dit soort stemmingen, in dubbele betekenis van het woord, te volgen en te lezen. Ik constateer dat het precies degenen zijn die zeggen zich in te zetten voor tolerantie, die zich hier juist uitermate intolerant tonen.
En weerwoord van mij...Maar nogmaals, als je vergelijkbare uitspraken zou doen over andere bevolkingsgroepen, bijvoorbeeld vrouwen, zwarte mensen of Joden, dan zou je line recta een blok krijgen. Maar kennelijk is het oké hier om queer mensen zo te behandelen. Een beetje empathie en medemenselijkheid is teveel gevraagd tegenwoordig?
Echt waar. Wikipedia editen. Waarom doe ik het überhaupt? Ik word er alleen maar misselijk van.

Exciting news! After years of work, my research paper has just been published. It shows that adding a layer of gravel at the bottom of a plant pot really DOES improve drainage. This exact scenario has never been directly tested before, in spite of a lot of myths and theories flying around.
