Hm. Why *do* issue trackers automatically close issues marked as duplicate? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep them open and visually group them together, and auto-close them once the duplicant issue is resolved, so that it gives you an idea of how many people have individually reported the same issue and no context/variations are lost?
As much as I talk about image descriptions, which yes, are very, very important, I'd also like to bring some light to describing audio posts. This is just as important as describing your images. There are people who aren't able to access your audio posts for any number of reasons. Yes, audio can sometimes be difficult to describe, just as images can I'm sure, but at least trying is good. There are many, many people on the fediverse who appreciate that immensely.

In light of the Internet Archive losing its appeal to hachette, I just wanted to point out some websites you should avoid:
* https://annas-archive.li/
* https://downmagaz.net/
* https://ebook-hunter.org/
* https://forcoder.net/
* https://freemagazines.top/
* https://liber3.eth.limo/
If you were to download books from these websites, you might cut into hachette's more than three billion dollars of annual revenue. So make sure to avoid those websites and the following:
* https://libgen.is/
* https://oceanofpdf.com/
* https://pdfroom.com/
* https://pdfstop.com/
* https://pdfdrive.to/
* https://pdfmagazines.club/
* https://sci-hub.se/
* https://singlelogin.re/
* ... or any of the other sites listed at https://rentry.co/megathread-books
@vyr incidentally, this type thing is what I hear every single time someone tells me they're definitely qualified to talk about moderation because they worked in "Trust and Safety" at some kind of social media company
Hello everyone!! I've been working on a small project during the past few weeks.
It's a website that showcases a different small free game each day, which is selected entirely random.
If you want to take a look at it and/or submit one of your games, you can do it through here: https://gameoftheday.org/
@joepie91 There's even a lawsuit about whether runescape gold counts as a currency or not for the purposes of taxation, because two dutch gold selling sites got taxed differently. (imo much funnier than the much more famous 'runescape-arrest')
Technical debt collector and general hype-hater. Early 30s, non-binary, ND, poly, relationship anarchist, generally queer.

- Flirting welcome, but be explicit if you want something out of it!
- The devil doesn't need an advocate; no combative arguing in my mentions.
Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p
My spoons are limited, so I may not always have the energy to respond to messages.
Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
