Ga maar na: jarenlang was Greta het oogappeltje van diverse pers. Wat fantastisch toch, zo'n jong iemand die zo radicaal voor het klimaat opkomt! Ze raakten niet over haar uitgeschreven.
Totdat ze het podium gaf aan een niet-witte spreker die - terecht - probeerde de grote rol van (ook hedendaags) kolonialisme in de klimaatcrisis te benoemen.
Een dag later probeerde iedereen binnen diezelfde pers karaktermoord te plegen. Want "dat ging te ver". Van 100 naar 0 in minder dan een dag, want nu werden witte mensen geconfronteerd met hun *eigen* aandeel in de klimaatcrisis. Ineens werd het veel te concreet.

Echt, ik heb het ook goed. Heb een succesvol bedrijf opgebouwd en woon in een fijn huis. En toch heb ik nog NOOIT op de VVD gestemd omdat er heel veel dingen belangrijker zijn dan iets meer belasting betalen.
Denk na mensen, kijk eens echt om je heen buiten je eigen bubbel. Dan zie je dat de 🌍 iets anders nodig heeft dan de VVD.
