every now and then we find something else that's going to end society as we know it. Y2k, AI, fuckin killer bees. They get a lot of media attention and seem silly later.
I think it's all just based on how we all realize this shit is fragile and unsustainable. But the real reasons why are not very exciting
When people claim that informally and community organized things "don't scale", I sometimes think about how the massively-scaled tech platform Github has been unable to handle the scale of the community-organized nixpkgs project... *more than once*

Chronisch kranke Menschen hatten ja gehofft, dass sich die Möglichkeit einer reinen remote Behandlung (soweit möglich) nach den guten Erfahrungen, die damit während der Corona Pandemie gemacht wurden, als dauerhafte Alternative durchsetzt.
Tja, zu früh gefreut, wie so oft.
Uns wurde nur gezeigt, was technisch und organisatorisch möglich wäre, würden unsere Bedürfnisse ernst und wichtig genommen.
