Always on the side of refugees seeking safety.
Always against landlord parasites.

#RefugeesAreWelcomeHere
It's international women's day.
While you're talking about solidarity, don't forget:
- trans women
- disabled women
- Black Women, Indigenous Women, and Women of Colour
- women in prisons
- women with addiction issues
- old and elderly women
- women who are sex workers
...the list goes on.
Remember all the women who are ignored and forgotten, even on days they're meant to be remembered.
"The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free." - Maya Angelou
We should try harder to organize the activists and social movements on other digital platforms, #Mastodon being the first option. There are countries where mainstream media is almost completely controlled by a small group of corrupt elite.People in anti-democratic countries where the rule of law and right to free speech are not respected need to be guided toward alternative platforms as soon as possible. Authoritarian governments will benefit from #Twitter's demise unless we succeed in this.
hey can any #trans people in #newjersey who changed their name recently (in the past two or so years) get in touch with me i have some questions i need cleared up-
boost for visibility please!

one final computer history question: why are Intel processors little endian? Why were some other processors big endian?
Mostly interested in pre-1980 reasons (before the internet)
I'd love citations / links if possible -- I got a lot of guesses and speculation in replies to the last computer history question.
In the interest of science and community, let me break this down for you:
Heat pumps are the most efficient way to heat a building. Period. They move energy from one place to another at a rate four times what they consume, sometimes more. Many of them can move heat in both directions, meaning they can also provide cooling. That's a fun little bonus which you may or may not choose to use, but I will say that given long-term implications of climate change, you might want that handy.
You know what would be the single best upgrade you could make to a pinball machine today?
Make it cheaper.
Pinball being as expensive as it is makes it a rich man's hobby, with all the toxic problems that go along with that. At the same time, game rules have gotten so complex that they're impenetrable to those who haven't grown up with pinball - which is, remember, most people.

Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p
My spoons are limited, so I may not always have the energy to respond to messages.
Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
