The way I see it, the only thing to gain by continued empowerment and uplifting of the wealthy elite are future failed empires -- while we have everything to gain by empowerment and uplifting of the oppressed and marginalized.

If this isn't enough to radicalize the non-disadvantaged, consider the divergence between you and billionaires. You are also a threatened minority. We're all in this together, whether you're mildly privileged or not.

Who is engaged in your community? Do they want to work with you to preserve that community?

Keep documents of how you enforce your policies, review them every time a new person jobs (write them together as a team with all mods first time you make the documents).

In Finland skiing is still a popular winter sport. It is however expensive, so not a hobby for us poors. It also demans a level of able-bodiedness not nearly everyone has.

Many cities close the local outdoor areas from all but skiers during the snowy months. However in the forest areas outside these maintained paths the people themselves manage to create inclusive paths for everyone without any supervision. Draw a line between them and us. It's a lot harder to fix the problem unless it's separated and addressed, and no individual trying to live their lives with climate anxiety should be taking the blame for things that corporations and governments do. It's us vs them. Always has been. Thinking otherwise plays into their narrative and agenda.

When I was active at the wikipedia there were a group of other writers who would follow me around and mark my articles on women and black people for deletion. They marked my edits CN even when there was a citation. They reworded everything I wrote to minimize the contributions of minorities to history, and hint at theories of racial inferiority.
