Good morning fediverse. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Remember to be kind to yourself and others, drink plenty of water, get some fresh air if you can and do something lovely for yourself. Sending virtual hugs and happiness :_gaysparkle: :heart_pride:

Draw a line between them and us. It's a lot harder to fix the problem unless it's separated and addressed, and no individual trying to live their lives with climate anxiety should be taking the blame for things that corporations and governments do. It's us vs them. Always has been. Thinking otherwise plays into their narrative and agenda.

Unsolicited scraping of domain blocks. Potentially ryona or KF, but may also be some other fuck scraping domain blocks. Spoofs its user agent as being Firefox on Windows. IP is in a server farm by FranTech Solutions, so not a desktop.

My evidence: It just ate 5111014300 bytes of shit before closing the connection.

Your regular reminder that #MachineLearning models (or #AI, if you insist on ignoring the meaning of 'intelligence') will repeat and reinforce any #bias that already exists in society.

very reassuring when the payment terminal on the ticket machine shows a random android file browser (and also is not responding)

English speaking chess players: "it's called a Knight not a horse! Calling it horse is not dignified!".

Every other language: "horse".

German: "jumper".

When I was active at the wikipedia there were a group of other writers who would follow me around and mark my articles on women and black people for deletion. They marked my edits CN even when there was a citation. They reworded everything I wrote to minimize the contributions of minorities to history, and hint at theories of racial inferiority. I'd just go to the library and bury them in more citations. It was kind of violent TBH. #threads #wikipedia #moderation

Apparently Namecheap is now selling blockchain-based domains, and unless you hover over the illegibly low-contrast "i" icon there's no indication that you're buying something "not compatible with DNS" throughout the rest of the checkout process.

Hey any paleontology people know what happened to fossilworks.org and where something like it exists, please and thank you?

Signed, an armchair paleontologist who's finding a lot of broken links on Wikipedia

It blows my mind that America could cut enough from its military budget to single-handedly fix extreme poverty and world hunger, and they'd still have the largest military budget in the world.

i'm trying to think of a person to whom this wouldn't come off as vaguely insulting and i haven't thought of them yet

I live in the deep south and don't have any other #trans people to ask questions to. I know there is no "right way" to be trans but I have so many questions about others' experience. I think I'm gonna ask questions here since I've never seen a more supportive group of people. Please feel free to boost for visibility and feel free to let me know if I'm too much.

lmao, *all* of my eSun-printed filament clips have stopped, well, clipping - they just break apart now if you bend them. Despite having had zero daylight exposure. This filament is *so bad*

An important reminder at this time of year:
You are under no obligation to maintain a tradition that you do not enjoy or cannot afford.

Guess I'll spend my crappy eSun filament on Gridfinity bins...
