Any time I see someone post about gpt et al it is so hard to stop myself from replying. Remember that openai is a techno-fascist accelerationist/longtermist/‘rationalist’ organization and these systems are drive by the belief that human consciousness is the same as computation, and that our duty to the future is to make real “general” ai. They are anti-human (anti-life imo), routinely privatize public research, pilfer publicly available data without ethics, and are actively trying to build a dark future that is bad for all of us. They are funded by musk and thiel.

They are to be avoided and actively countered where possible.

Rest assured it's not only not gatekeeping, but to the contrary, a huge tenet behind the autism rights and neurodiversity movement is the unquestioned validity of self-discovery and self-diagnosis, regardless of whether a medical professional agrees. A huge problem that's been widely discussed is how the great majority of research has been done on cis white men and boys and, how this excludes so many people, and diagnostic criteria and assessments are inherently and severely biased. This is why it's crucial to have *all* our voices heard and amplified: from us, for us.

People fail to grasp what is being communicated in this metaphorical story.

Notice that the bartender does not respond by ignoring the Nazi. He immediately and swiftly confronts the Nazi and lets him know he's not welcome in the bar.

Further, the bartender warns that if you just ignore the Nazi, the Nazi will show up with more friends tomorrow.

If they are in your community, you need to confront them swiftly and decisively as the bartender in this story did.
