"I was given this game for free to review on my Twitch or Youtube, and I feel like someone owes me money even though I didn't pay for it. Early Access or not, a game should include, at the bare minimum, gameplay."
"I've worked in a warehouse for over a year, and I've been driving semi's for a year and a half now -- I didn't think it could be made any less fun. :-)"
"You can take the warehouse out of the man, but not the man out of the warehouse. No really, I tried to leave the warehouse to complete an order and it wouldn't let me out. What in the holy flaming forklift is this? For what could be a neat game Warehouse Sim's a hot mess. The majority of reported bugs as well as those shown in early streamer preview videos are still present...unlike the developers."
Something tells me this is not a very good game
LLMs exist to crush labour. That's not even my surmise, the people paying billions of dollars to fund this stuff are extremely open and explicit that this is their goal.
There are no ethical use cases for LLMs at this point in time. Maybe when the bubble has popped thoroughly. Not before.
EDIT: I should have expected this post would attract the deliberately obtuse shills, but my goodness
If we could admit the following, it would save many lives:
COVID is airborne
COVID is not over
COVID is a social justice issue & everyone deserves access to vaccines, respirators and clean air
COVID can impact everyone, not “only the vulnerable”
Lastly, the “vulnerable” deserve protection too. We are not expendable.
The outright wrecking of the scientific infrastructure in the US under the current administration chilled me to my bone. Kept me doomscrolling. But I finally found a way to do something positive, in a small way: I dedicated some storage space and a bit of my internet connection to a decentralized backup of deleted research data.
I am happy to report that @SafeguardingResearch 's torrent swarm now has ca 14 TB storage and a Gbit connection more.

@why2025camp Outside the hackerspace @revspace , a car is parked with an infrared camera. We assume it is a license plate reader.
So we made a license plate and showed it to the camera.
Was chatting with @FaerieFearal the other day about how anarchist and punk furs are often hyenas, rats, and opossums, but I said there should be more seagulls and they brought the correct energy: why aren't there more pigeon furs?
Pigeons don't give a fuck about your borders.
Seagulls don't care if those are "your" fries.
More punk seagulls and pigeons furries please.
@helle Basically all of this makes a lot more sense from the perspective that they attempted a hostile takeover, but failed and now have a hard fork at hands, and explaining that fact to their crowd and sponsors is going to be a hard pill to swallow
The irony of Determinate #Nix is that the people in the bubble they cater to spent so much time daemonizing Lix for virtue of being a fork, that now they have to do acrobatic mental gymnastics to not call their not-a-fork a fork
EA, The Sims, racism, transphobia, homophobia
Boosting with cw and alt text. Sorry missed that the original poster didn't include alt text initially.
Looked it up. Its from this Wired article:
https://www.wired.com/story/ea-tried-to-stop-an-anti-dei-mod-for-the-sims-4-but-more-keep-surfacing/
some of my favorites so far are "with natural ingredients" (indeed, a subset of the ingredients were natural), "100% selected origins" (I would hope so, wouldn't want anything of unknown origin in there!), but there's so many bad ones and they just keep getting worse.
Hi
Anyone out there who can make some small changes to an Inkscape image in commons?
Probably 15 minutes tops for someone who knows what they are doing.
I can pay.
UPDATE
Found someone!
Thank you everyone for boosting.
@sophie welcome to os- see you later
I am nonbinary, and I live in a country where nonbinary isn't legally accepted (but medically accepted, which differs from our neighbouring countries). I don't want a third legal gender, like an X.
Oh, it'd be a good second best, but I want something else. Do away with legal gender altogether. It's a remnant of a time where your gender could make it forbidden to do certain things like voting or join the military or have certain jobs. Leave it in the past. No legal gender marker needed.
Wacom drawing tablets track the name of every application that you open
However, the title “Wacom drawing tablets used to track the name of every application that you open but now seem to have stopped for some reason” didn’t feel very snappy. I decided to do some more investigating.
This write-up of Wacom's information syphoning scheme is really good, but for me, the best part starts with the snippet I've included from near the end.

- No alt text (request) = no boost.
- Boosts OK for all boostable posts.
- DMs are open.
- Flirting welcome, but be explicit if you want something out of it!
- The devil doesn't need an advocate; no combative arguing in my mentions.
Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p

Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
