However, the title “Wacom drawing tablets used to track the name of every application that you open but now seem to have stopped for some reason” didn’t feel very snappy. I decided to do some more investigating.

This write-up of Wacom's information syphoning scheme is really good, but for me, the best part starts with the snippet I've included from near the end.

Why are we this deep into Covid and 2025 A.D. and you’re getting “would you feel comfortable if I put on a mask” when you’re in the exam room? Like, that whole office should know your respirator and air filtration preferences before you confirm that appointment time. There should have been at least one uncomfortable conversation with the office staff via phone/email long before you roll up to their reception desk.

Maybe you or somebody you know has a #Windows10 computer, which works perfectly fine, but will lose support on October 14 because it cannot be updated to Windows 11 for hardware support reasons.

Please, do not turn the computer into unnecessary e-waste but keep using it and give it a new life by installing #Linux on it. There are plenty of advantages in doing so, the biggest one being it's waaaayyy cheaper.

The main argument I've heard for having only buttons for volume control is so it can be controlled by a remote or software, and while that prevents using potentiometers, I don't understand why that somehow prevents using a rotary encoder for volume control. Sure, you don't have nice hard stops at the max and min volume, but twisting a knob is still much better than having to button mash volume up/down
