@joepie91 For some reason I had to immediately think of some anti-plastic people who threw away all their plastics to replace them with wood/steel/glass stuff and tell others to do the same.
I do question the wisdom of recalling the product, ie. telling people to *throw it away and replace it*, when the problem with the product is that it contains a substance which is environmentally harmful if it ends up in the environment...
Happy birthday to #mathematician Maryam Mirzakhani (1977-2017)! The Fields Medal, one of the most prestigious #math awards, is awarded to mathematicians < 40. In 2014, she became 1st woman to win. Her research included Teichmüller theory, hyperbolic geometry, ergodic theory, & symplectic geometry, and Fields committee cited her work in “the dynamics and geometry of Riemann surfaces and their moduli spaces”.

1-day delivery? More like 1 day to be told to go pick it up from a warehouse yourself because you weren't fast enough to catch the alleged delivery attempt
Huh, the independent bookstore in my hometown has a pretty decent search thing where you can just tell them to have the book sent to the store and then you pick it up and pay for it then
This is a better customer experience than Amazon's "oops you weren't home so we sent it to a warehouse at the edge of Montreal that is only accessible by car for 3 hours a week when you're working"
where does one go to get free kitbash parts for 3d modeling
Also, it has a Celeron, but it's zippy as fuck. Guess not all Celerons are complete garbage after all!
@xyno
As I said before: I'm astonished I haven't seen a robot being with a JLCJLCJLCJLC tattoo yet
(It's technically not even a safety recall, it seems, but rather they sold me something that uses leaded solder and so that's why it's getting recalled)
i really wish people if they could didn't use AI even if it's used for leftist causes or propaganda. like come on. this is so bunk.
"but i can't draw" you can make collages! just find several pictures on the internet and stitch or overlay or glue them together or something. you can do that with letters too. it adds even this scrappy DIY punk flavor to it. cmon. leave your mark on the world
Technical debt collector and general hype-hater. Early 30s, non-binary, ND, poly, relationship anarchist, generally queer.
Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p
Feel free to flirt, but if you want to actually meet up and/or do something with me, lewd or otherwise, please tell me explicitly or I won't realize :) I'm generally very open to that sort of thing!
Further boundaries: boosts are OK (including for lewd posts), DMs are open. But the devil doesn't need an advocate; I'm not interested in combative arguing in my mentions. I am however happy to explain things in-depth when asked non-combatively.
My spoons are limited, so I may not always have the energy to respond to messages.
Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
