Matrix, criticism of criticism, negative
I'm fine with the criticism of #Matrix on Fediverse, I do that sometimes myself in private rooms or sometimes blog posts, but holy shit, I wish that criticism didn't have as much toxicity and misinformation in it as it currently have.
On one hand there are Matrix fans who unconditionally scream how great Matrix is and can solve all world problems, and on the other there are nostalgia gremlins praising IRC over high heavens as an alternative to commercial platforms like Discord for literally everyone because Matrix is "literally unusable" or something.
Both groups are delusional IMO.

If you pay for a single from Apple Music, you get an m4a that doesn't contain album art.
But when I play it in the Apple Music player it has album art.
No. It doesn't. They do a lookup of the album art in the Music player. The actual file doesn't have the album art.
You'll need to steal their album art from somwhere else, and then run:
ffmpeg -i input.m4a -i image.jpg -c copy -disposition:v attached_pic output4.m4a
Purchasing music is such pain these days 
I've been trying to purchase music from all my favorite bands for days now, and it's so spread out across so many platforms, if you can even download it at all, and then even if you do, you're not guaranteed all the bells and whistles of what makes a song recognizable in your mp3 player or app. You still need to do stuff yourself.
I want to tell people to do the right thing and purchase music, but jfc, this is an unfederated segmented shitscape...

something that'd been bothering me a lot about #DGS is that *none* of the 3 dictionaries I use has any Middle East cultural words. no words listed for such things as Ramadan, halal, hijab etc. I know how to sign schnitzel, currywurst, baguette, sushi, but when our migrant kindergarten teacher asked how to say falafel, teachers were like, uh dunno fingerspell it.
I mean I don't blame the teachers for not knowing a word, but the vocab gap in the *dictionaries* is blatant. spreadthesign which is by far the most comprehensive free one doesn't even have döner. what is life in Germany without döner??
