So my learning about PCB dry photoresist culminates in the following body of knowledge which I shall share with you:

* All dry film photoresist are more or less equal (all of 'em made in China anyway) and they still are a PITA to apply to medium-large boards.

* You ABSOLUTELY need vacuum, to get the air out between the film and the resist during exposure

* The angle of the incident light is quite critical, if the light is too close, the exposure is blown out, too far away and the same happens.

* Bug zapper tubes need to be driven with DC, and hard, to generate sufficient UV spectrum. They do not emit as much UV on AC. Yes they won't last very long but that's a small price to pay for the best exposures you'll ever do at home, short of spending a shit ton of money for an entry level exposure unit.

What I want: Really nice, pretty digital paintings that are suitable for both phone and desktop wallpapers

preferably a set of pictures that can be used as a "work focus", "personal focus", "evening focus", "night focus" set of wallpapers for my phone

context: GoToSocial has always returned the 418 I'm A Teapot joke HTTP code to all requests that try to connect to it without giving a User-Agent, cuz (our reasoning at the time was that) if they're being rude with us we can be a bit cheeky back to them, it's all fun + games

As a direct result of that, some Bluesky component we've never interacted with or thought about now includes a User-Agent header so you can see in your logs who's fetching your shit (and block it if you want): https://github.com/bluesky-social/atproto/pull/3450

Anyway if you want to block the app view user-agent it's BskyAppView according to the bsky code.

here's a thing i can tell you. back a few months ago, russia doubled down on its white supremacy and started actively deporting central asian immigrants from its territory. most of those people worked as cab drivers, store staff, agricultural workers and so on.

when that happened, supply chains disrupted, as well as transportation. shelves were often empty in stores.

i expect the same happen in the so called usa soon.

After publishing an article about Sam Nordquist titled "Trans Man Killed in New York Was Tortured for More Than a Month, Police Say" the transphobic New York Times has changed the headline to read "Person Killed in New York Was Tortured for More Than a Month, Police Say"

This is a craven act of trans erasure and is spreading misinformation by burying important details of the murder. If the New York Times wishes to call itself "factual journalism" it should change the headline back.

I am calling on everyone to email the New York Times's factual corrections address to demand they correct the headline.

how do i be more active as a massive introvert with autism and ADHD? every few days, i sign petitions, send emails, and make calls, and i hope to take the leap and protest IRL someday.

however, i easily get burnt out from keeping up with how things are going, and i'm in a perpetual state of "disappointed, but not surprised." a couple weeks ago, i found a protest opportunity, but lost interest in it a few hours later. i'm also not good with words so i just boost what others have said.
