Bambu Lab's post about rooting tries very hard to sound friendly and like they're being accommodating, but what it's *actually* doing is trying to get people to give up their warranty (which isn't even going to be legal in many places, let alone ethical)

Every now and then I look at the state of Youtube's autogenerated subtitles, and I am sorely disappointed in the fact that the minimum viable product is basically what we seem to be stuck with, now.
I would even just be happy with an easy way to correct the obvious mistakes, as a viewer, like that ‘Oakland’ bullshit in a video set in New Zealand.
Seriously, you want to tout your accessibility creds, Google? Spend some big bucks on making this actually top notch 🙄

Received our first AI-generated security vulnerability report at the museum today. Wasted about an hour’s worth of staff time double checking it wasn’t a real concern before filing it in the circular bin.
We’re just a museum with a website, and the stupid fucking LLMs are wasting our time with this shit. I imagine the open source maintainers are drowning in this shit.
Never before has a technology wasted so many people’s time so utterly. Fuck the grifters trying to sell this as “AI”.

I've worked on both a browser team and as a web developer; this largely jives with my experience.
A lot of web developers have very dogmatic views about "you should do things like this, not like this," but working on a browser, I honestly feel like it's way more nuanced if you actually understand how browsers work. Which is often a mess of hacks and quirks that only make sense if you've been there

I have spent some time learning the ways of fungi and when you can see the mold? That means the entire mass is full of mycelium (basically thread
-like "mushroom roots") the fruiting or the fuzzy part means that the fungi has consumed all the nutrients and is ready to move on.
The whole thing is shot, please don't eat it OK? Some fungi create poisons as by products. And it won't taste right.
