If you are publicly visible as a trans person, I guarantee there is a trans person somewhere who wants to be like you (at least in some ways).

But it also gives hope. I think of the person that I saw that gave me enough hope to transition -- someone in my field who didn't lose her career. You never know when you might be that person for someone else.

So many systems I’ve seen lately could run off in memory SQLite and a replication to a CSV file.

"It depends", "can you define that?", "just making sure we're on the same page" are all great starting points but get you maybe 25% towards an actual solution and redirect the bulk of the work back on others. You need empathy and curiosity to listen, but you also need to steer, scope, and bring decisions to the table if you are going to be an actual leader.

We willen het hier eigenlijk uitsluitend hebben over onze eigen actuele ervaringen met Nederlandse autoritair-linkse organisaties en individuen. Maar natuurlijk speelt de tegenstelling tussen autoritair en bevrijdend links al heel lang en overal ter wereld, waarbij autoritairen het geweld vaak niet schuwden en schuwen. @joenepraat en @Ravotr noemden al Boedapest (1956) en Praag (1968), maar we kunnen ook denken aan de Spaanse Revolutie (1936) en nog eerder in de geschiedenis aan Kronstadt (1921). En zelfs na de val van de muur hebben autoritair-linksen soms vrijheidslievende linksen belaagd of vermoord, zoals bijvoorbeeld in de Filipijnen en Turkije.
