Also, game devs, if you post a teaser of something you're working on and literally everyone who guesses what it is guesses the same wrong answer, that means either your marketing sucked or you're developing the wrong thing

I will never understand people who respond to things like "I am angry that this game developer is using the news feed for this game exclusively to advertise a different game" with stuff like "you're entitled and ruining gaming"

I also do not understand why game developers are remaking games where both the old version and new version look identical, have the same gameplay, and can run on the same computers.

And I don't understand people who say things like "they sold the franchise to this publisher, so they can't update the game anymore and that's why they're creating THE EXACT SAME IDENTICAL GAME WITH THE SAME TITLE instead"

for the fediverse to live up to its potential, you do have to report accts that violate rules. when you hit block you have the option of sending a report to the user’s admins, which is what it takes to remove abusive accts.

if someone is invoking systems of oppression in their posts or replies, it’s not just words, it’s harm that causes real stress, anxiety, ptsd etc, all of which are physically unhealthy and/or change a person’s ability to express themselves or seek and find community here

Grindr employees are organizing.

So, just to recap:
Hungary has a new law that forbids any queer content to be presented in any form to people under 18. This involves all books with any reference to LGBT+ (including, ironically, Harry Potter). These books can only be sold wrapped in plastic, and in the adult section of bookstores. Stores have already been fined for millions of Forints for not complying. This week, they are also being taken off the shelves in some stores completely.
I feel helpless.
