rule 1: most of the time you ever have a fight or an argument about a cis(het) person engaging in bigotry against queer people, average outsider is more likely to side against you, especially if you are a trans/queer person yourself, even if the people involved claim to be allies. bonus points if you are not white or if you are disabled.

there has been only 2 cases for me out of 14 where it happened and people actually stood with me. this is why I don't trust many "allies" at all anymore

with the announcement of vulpine club shutting down, i'm looking for a server that meets the following criteria:
🔸​ has a decent amount of custom emoij, especially blobcats and foxes.
🔸 doesn't have an artificially low character limit on posts (1k+ is ideal).
🔸 doesn't have an artificially low character limit on your profile, or limit you to only a few metadata fields.
🔸 doesn't have an artificially low limit on pinned posts.
🔸 doesn't use core mastodon, which has numerous accessibility issues.
🔸 is known for being queer-friendly, and ideally furry-friendly.

these are the issues of why i left octodon, because they kept restricting everything for no reason.

Diabetic folks who use older models of FreeStyle Libre CGM and a reader: there's a recall on the readers. 4.2 million of them, for the original Libre, the 14 Day, and the Libre 2. The readers are apparently overheating and sometimes exploding.

Astigmatism (~50% of the population) find it harder to read white text on black than black text on white. With a bright display the iris closes a bit more, decreasing the effect of the “deformed” lens; with a dark display (black background) the iris opens to receive more light and the deformation of the lens creates a much fuzzier focus at the eye.

Scientists really need to stop taking common language terms, giving them a hyper specific meaning and then complaining when people keep using the common language version or there's confusion about those terms.

If your response to people holding Website Boy to a higher standard and being uncomfortable with how he is currently managing things is 'stop complaining and fork your own', you can fork off into the forking ocean, and if people need to explain to you why making your own fork is both irrelevant and unfeasible, maybe you're not as smart as you think your smug comments are implying
