i just wanna say that activism isn't just going to protests and confronting fascism. it's also mutual aid. it's the soup kitchen, housing and medical support. it's the art. it's science and reasoning and education. it's agitation. it's organizing. it's fundraising. it's ties and connections. it's direct action.
we can't fight oppression and corruption alone because one person can only know or be able to do so much. but teaming up to play different roles and support each other strategically is what makes the biggest difference.

Like, to put it more bluntly: chances are that those "violent activists" have tried non-violent methods for years while you were pretending that the problem didn't exist

If you think that activists are too willing to use violence, consider that instead of criticizing those activists, you should maybe be asking yourself how it got to the point where violence is seen as necessary, and what non-violent work you yourself have not been doing that could have solved the problem sooner
