and none of this being restricted by gender identity, presentation, characteristics, or other gatekeeping bullshit

this includes if you describe your organization/laws/medical system as trans-affirming but they have no recognition of non-binary people

stop pretending like cis-normative (and hetero-normative) trans rights are rights for all trans people and start fighting for the rights of all people of all genders

Case in point. Here is a DM I just got:

Having instances with open registrations on this network means each person that is actively anti-racist here, or that experiences racism, will randomly have some loser @ ing them with pages of the N word and other unhinged hateful bile out of nowhere.
If you've got open registrations on your instance you are literally facilitating that mechanism for harassment. Happens all the time. Can happen at any time, from any instance with open registrations.

tldr: If you are an admin of a fediverse instance, close the registrations on your instance if you don't want to be used as a platform for drive-by hate speech. It might not have happened to you personally yet, but it literally will. Don't be that person.
