Yep, it was slate.js, judging from this delightful section in its documentation: https://docs.slatejs.org/#why
@y3mz It seems to be pretty obscure knowledge (and I only found out myself by accident due to a keyboard bug that got my CTRL stuck); every time I tell people about this, they go "wait really???" but as far as I can tell the functionality has been there for years, just nobody knows it exists
I wonder how much of this has to do with the bigger character limits, leaving space for people to actually present their projects *without* needing to capture it into some snazzy marketing slogan soundbite
fediblock, eris from disqordia
if you need some proof that eris is a unpleasant individual --- make your own choices whether this is #fediblock worthy, but note that i know some instances defederated from disqordia due to the below, among other things:
this thread is cached correctly here, on the external server, but eris' original toots were lost when the old disqordia instance went down

#ArmoedeInNederland
@Gankra (Just going by the general tone of the writing here)
@Gankra I suspect that this was just as unsurprising to the folks who wrote that article as it has been for years to many language security/ergonomics folks, but they had to be nice and couldn't write "I fucking told you so"
for folks who don't know, google specifically has like, the Most Advanced C++ Bug Catching/Mitigation Tools, to the point that they *took over the development of clang*
just using rust instead, even with 'unsafe' parts, completely blew all of that out of the water! holy shit!
obsessed with this article by the Android team. just looking at the graphs it's like "rust go up, exploits go down" https://security.googleblog.com/2022/12/memory-safe-languages-in-android-13.html
also holy shit Android has a lot of rust code now
