I prefer to buy my stuff in store.
Decathlon, a French company so always a bit strange, sends me by e-mail a 5% discount code for my whole order but only on the website or in the app. I do want a tent, so ok, discount is welcome. One of the other items I want is only available online, not in store, but most items are.
What does Decathlon:
- The stuff available in store: home delivery is € 2,99, pick up in store is free.
- The stuff not available in store: home delivery is free, pick up in store is € 1,99
So, now my order is split in two in two delivery methodes because I don't want to my discount to disappear in delivery fees 🙄

When you make the pitch for accessibility, be prepared for pushback. There are several myths and misconceptions, so it's good to be aware of what they are and how to dispel them.
Something I'll never understand is people defending companies that terminate lifetime licenses, because "well they can't keep providing services forever, it's not sustainable".
Okay? Then they shouldn't have sold 'lifetime' licenses in the first place? The company's bad business decisions are not the customer's problem. You sell a lifetime license, you will have to honor it, end of. Actions have consequences.

@SilverArrows My guess is that it's preparatory for (potentially) prescribing stimulants, and wanting to ensure that there's no heart conditions that make that high-risk?

https://dragonscave.space/@fireborn/114748601542434856 has us thinking about the whole weird concept of "protecting" something by attacking anyone with legitimate criticisms of it. It's something we see a lot from cops, I think - claims that, in order to uphold the law, we need to bury its victims, so anyone attempting to make the criminal justice system more just is actually making it *worse* somehow.
I think it might be an authoritarian thing? If you think of this kind of conduct in terms of people up the ladder retaliating against resistance from those below - even if the resistance takes the form of saying "can you take this boot off our necks?" - then it makes sense that it would happen. It's profoundly toxic, but it's part of a pattern.
