Terwijl: De kosten van wonen, overleven en hoe het belastingparadijs Nederland voor de extreem rijken daar de oorzaak van is, zijn serieuzere acute onderwerpen.

The concept of "sex-positivity" is to oppose Puritanism and laws that constrain the expression of CONSENSUAL sex amongst adults.
It is NOT, or should NOT BE, a condemnation of those who choose as consenting adults to be sex adverse, or those whose sexuality (or lack thereof) does not meet any standard other than mutual respect, mutual consent, and mutual pleasure.
It is so much more than just "More and better sex!!"

For #pride month you cannot say “let me get this straight”. Instead say “ok just so we’re queer”.

Someone rolls into a programming language IRC channel making false claim after false claim about the language, having very strange beliefs about it, and having immense amounts of trouble with even simple tasks.
And not five minutes later, they complain loudly about how horrible and awful the language is. You can set your clock to it, as one would say in Dutch.
(Bonus correlation: if they post their code, you'll find that they go to absurd lengths to make it resemble the language they are familiar with, even if it doesn't fit into this language at all)

Op 20 juni organiseert @degoedezaak in #Utrecht een hele middag met als titel Bondgenoten versus Big Tech. Hier wordt onder andere een miniworkshop over alternatieven voor Big Tech socials gegeven door @BjornW van @publicspaces. Ik ga er vanuit dat Björn enthousiast over Mastodon en andere #ActivityPub-toepassingen gaat praten. Ik hoop zelf ook aanwezig te zijn, en ik ben benieuwd of @koen van ProcoliX ook aanwezig is (?). Ik zou deze dag mijn wat meer gematigde pragmatische pet opzetten. 😉

@pinoaffe Often, yeah, though there are also interpretations of 'centrism' where this isn't the case, in my experience. It''s a bit of an overloaded term.
Right-wingers seem to use the term 'centrist' more, left-wingers the term 'moderate', but ultimately they seem to mean very similar things.

And yes, it's left *or* right, not just 'right'.
With leftist views, it just looks different: "it would be great if we could have <leftist thing>, but others will never agree / that's not economically feasible / that will never happen / etc.", because there the fear is not disapproval of morals (like with right-wing views) but criticisms of practicality
