What's up with American food recipes being terrified of measuring stuff by weight? I mean even something like "a tablespoon of flour" can mean a whole range of amounts depending on the size of the spoon and whether you dose the flour flat on the spoon or if you create a mound..

And then there's stuff like measuring raw ginger by length which absolutely baffles me cuz like have you ever seen ginger root?? It's like the most irregular object at the grocery aisle which way am I even supposed to measure out an inch??

OMG, I kept making this mistake all the way until Bernie ran for the second time, and they auto-sign you up to EVERY fucking democratic campaign in your area, state, country, fucking planet... its forever too. You can unsubscribe, but they've already shared your info with thousands of other campaign orgs completely independent from whatever you signed up to support. Signed up to support Bernie? Well, I hope you care deeply about whatever Nancy pelosi is up to, and like, every person she's ever gotten brunch with is running for office somewhere too, and They. Need. You. I haven't donated to an ActBlue thing in YEARS, and I deleted my account, but I will never get rid of the emails. At least I'm actively burning this gmail account soon, but I've been working on deleteing this thing for years, and I still get actblue emails... data privacy in the USA is fucking atrocious. I regret ever thinking Bernie could win...

Honestly the only reason I haven't deleted this account is I still have a couple of banking things I need to switch the emails on, but all the banking stuff is in the USA and requires me to fucking call them, in the US, and it's so hard to find the spoons and time... but these shitty actblue emails literally all comes from different emails and they spam me so hard it will fill up my email inbox and I'll have to clear them or I won't get new banking notifications because I refuse to pay for google services anymore. Ugh, this is such a pain in the ass...
