USA companies and military using indigenous tribes, names, and general vocabulary to describe their products (especially war machines) are disgusting and should be called out. If you didn't get permission from the Apache people, you can't call your thing or software "Apache".

If you don't live here, you don't understand how quiet it is. It gets quiet enough in residential areas at night that you can hear a pin drop. If you pull up on a motorcycle outside of the city center after 21:00 everyone hears it. Its so incredibly loud and awful. As an autistic person I love how quiet this city is. Gas powered motorcycles (and of course cars) ruin it.

The Netherlands has given me a new found hatred of combustion motorcycles. They sound like ear piercing farts. I have no patience for them because they're not necessary. You can walk, bike, or take public transit here. You could even get an electric bike or motorcycle. Instead you sound like you have the meat farts from blocks away and you disrupt all conversation with your painful gas.
(I realize that I'm one of the like 6 people on this globe who actually reads terms and conditions)

Ik ben wel fan van hoe Cas Bergs de Prinses op de Erwt samenvatte voor omroep Brabant: "... gaat over een prinses die op een regenachtige avond haastig op zoek is naar een slaapplek. Uiteindelijk kan de hoogheid ondanks haar pluchen bed niet in slaap komen door een klein groen erwtje."
Zou Cas hetzelfde ongemakkelijke gevoel hebben bij iets dat veelal begint met:

@hazelnot I don't know this for certain, but my guess is that laptops and such have a 'bypass circuit' that allows the device to run directly off mains when available, whereas in phones and such the power is always drawn from the battery which may happen to be getting charged at the same time.
If this is the case, then a laptop should work without any battery at all (which it typically will) but a phone shouldn't (which I don't know whether it's the case).
@jonah Nope, separately - I've tried the Jellyfin plugin for Kodi years ago and found it miserable to interact with 😕 Very slow, and a lot less intuitive than Jellyfin's own UI (very "everything is a list").
I plan to use the Jellyfin web interface with the "control from other instance" feature in the mobile app, so that I can essentially use the NUC as a media player target.
We've also set up an auto-hide Plasma panel for switching between applications, bound to the Menu key (so it works from my USB remote); it has shortcuts for the different media player applications and a large-UI task switcher to switch between them.
So if you press the Menu button on the remote, the panel pops over whatever is currently running (even if fullscreen) and lets you navigate between applications with the arrow/OK buttons, or if you press Menu again it disappears again.
(Jellyfin is set up to run in Firefox in kiosk mode. Altogether it *almost* feels like an off-the-shelf commercial product in terms of polish, heh)

@navi Don't know what it's like there, but here (in NL) in the odd few cases that I've notified train staff of something, they always seemed to be careful not to reveal to the person in question who notified them
