@HeyLaiverd Ik vind het een interessante raadpleging, met die schuifjes, dat is een goed idee wat mij betreft. Wel jammer dat de vraagstelling zo duidelijk gericht is, en het meer om goedkeuring van een bestaand plan dan het inbrengen van nieuwe ideeen gaat, maar het is alsnog een stap in de goede richting denk ik!

I just learned that the normal procedure is to feed people liquid food until they recover enough to eat solid food, but I apparently beat them to it and requested (and got) sandwiches before they could get around to putting in the liquid food restriction, and that went completely fine so they've just decided not to restrict my food type because I can apparently immediately eat normally lmao

Hello from post-surgery recovery room. Surgery was textbook, everything working, currently breakfasting with tea, cheese sandwiches, yoghurt/vla mix and lemonade. And laptop of course because I cannot sit still.
Doctors were - as per tradition - somewhat baffled about me going from "awake" to "fully functioning and conscious" in like 5 minutes. I asked if I got a recovery highscore (while reassuring them I don't intend to rush).
The answer: "you're definitely pretty close."

today i had a pretty sweet interaction with a trainspotter at Warsaw Central :3
I got out of the EC train from Berlin and saw a guy with a phone taking lots of pictures of the locomotive
apparently today was the last day PKP's EuroSprinter (EU44) locomotives were wearing the special christmas (advertising) livery and it was his last chance to catch it
we had a little chat and he seemed genuinely very happy that somebody approached him about this hobby. it brightened my mood too

In light of the government’s latest offer to the railway union, I just want to remind people…
If overtime is a constant thing in your workplace, then you need more workers. Or you need a fundamental rethinking of your employment scheduling and then probably more staff. People should not need to be asked to work extra days on a regular basis to cover the known workload, you should have leave coverage included in your staffing plan
@helle I imagine that this is a very good way to ensure that the company that hires you is open-minded

It's been a meme for a minute that ppl should appropriate like Midwestern white people slang like "hold it buster" the way they appropriate AAVE, but I have started seriously doing that and "buster" is an excellent, nearly gender neutral way to refer to someone in the second person.

@silvermoon82 It was an objective I had set for myself, in light of my lifelong experiments of brain/body control (beyond what people tend to believe is possible) and it appears to have worked out
