Something I've been saying for a while now. If you know how to program and are willing to dig in, you don't need permission to create the online world that you want. But that's not sufficient. Very few people have both the skills and fortitude to do something meaningful on their own. I would go further and say that's not even what we want.
Creating the world we want is always a social problem. Because we need to find like-minded people to join us.
@pascaline Hmm.
@Maxnichols Someone happened to link me to this video recently, which talks about exactly this, and what's likely really going on there: https://hax.social/@rallias/113387653018321332
Most adorable : the conductor had a printed sign "Tickets please" they hold in my sight in the silent area of the train rather than loudly asking for it. They said that'd be more comfortable for everyone than shouting and half of the people in the train were wearing headphones anyway.
I really, really like that idea and their commitment to just print these tiny signs.

tl;dr In just over 2 weeks I will donate a kidney.
Some of you may know that @joepie91 is preparing for a kidney transplant. That kidney is mine. But if everything goes right, not for much longer.
See their post at https://social.pixie.town/@joepie91/113227488818373457 for their perspective.
Lots of people have told me IRL that this is a huge thing. But honestly, it was a "no reason not to"-situation. I'm in near perfect health, and otherwise in a situation where the procedure won't really impact my life that much.
@jacksonchen666 Ah but see, this was a food thermometer
It's my last day of being a Pumpkaboo before the spell is lifted and I may return to my dragon form!
I have had a lot of fun as a Pumpkaboo and I'm especially looking forward to pumpkin carving today, though as a Pumpkaboo I certainly have some mixed feelings.
Meanwhile I'm learning elliptic curve cryptography, while in the room next to me, boxes are being sorted and repacked to free up space, and somehow my focus isn't completely shot either??
The street here is outright crowded today. Painters are still repainting the block, bird-blocking mesh installers were installing today, the garbage truck came to pick up the plastic waste, then there was a DPD delivery (mattress) and a DHL delivery (box) several hours later, *and then* the 'leaf collection parade' (tractor + massive vacuum cart + two guys with leafblowers directing leaves towards it) showed up. It's a miracle that there haven't been any conflicts today.

Sometimes horny on main (behind CW), very much into kink (bondage, freeuse, CNC, and other stuff), and believe it or not, very much a submissive bottom :p

Strong views about abolishing oppression, hierarchy, agency, and self-governance - but I also trust people by default and give them room to grow, unless they give me reason not to. That all also applies to technology and how it's built.
