@koen @SIDN Bij de bewering dat we "binnen Nederland geen geschikte alternatieven hebben" kan ik me ook niet aan de indruk onttrekken dat dit verdacht veel klinkt als iets dat ik vaker zie in vooral startup-kringen:
Helemaal enthousiast worden over de fancy dingen die AWS aanbiedt, vervolgens je hele systeem ontwerpen rond de aannames die alleen voor het (gesloten, niet-interoperabele) ecosysteem van Amazon gelden, en vervolgens verzuchten dat AWS nu eenmaal de enige optie is - zonder kritisch te kijken naar hoe dies eigen ontwerpkeuzes dat probleem veroorzaakt hebben, en hoe het vermeden had kunnen worden.

Ik heb nog eens goed nagedacht over wat @SIDN nu eigenlijk van plan is en mijn bezwaar komt hier op neer:
Open Systemen, Open Standaarden horen voor #SIDN en ook voor het registratiesysteem van SIDN heilig te zijn!
Ik vind dat we er met z'n allen voor moeten pleiten dat het registratiesysteem van een registry (een essentiële organisatie voor de toegang tot het internet) gebouwd zou moeten worden in uitsluitend #OpenSource Software, uitsluitend op basis van volledig open #standaarden gedraaid op volledig open #systemen
We betalen daar immers met z'n allen voor, als gebruikers van de .nl domeinnaam en als belastingbetalers.
En wat mij betreft is er geen enkele goede reden om daar ook maar 1 cent van uit te geven aan een mensenrechten schendend, in de USA gebaseerd, big tech bedrijf. Het is goedkoper is wel de allerslechtste reden om dat te doen.

It's like those post-mortem analyses put out by work safety authorities, but specific to theme park ride accidents, without any of the sensationalism and with a lot of in-depth technical research.
(The newer videos clearly signpost upfront whether there will be accident footage/simulations, and at what timestamps; I don't remember whether that is also the case for older videos)

TLDR: besmettingen en zh-opnames stabiel op vrij hoog niveau, maar carnaval kan makkelijk een nieuwe golf starten, net als vorig jaar.

We often just want "more like this" without having to make and maintain many playlists
