Question for plural folks, feedback needed :boost_requested:

Assume a chat system that allows you to have multiple accounts, and which also allows you to select a 'presented identity' on a per-message basis (under an otherwise shared account that is identifiable as such).

Does this meet your needs, and if not, what other accommodations are needed to make it a comfortable experience for you?

(Please only answer if you consider yourself plural or have some other reason for presenting as multiple identities. Boosts are welcome from anyone!)

@joepie91 i would prefer it to be one "account" but multiple "personas" if that makes sense. sign in once as a system and then switch front with simply clicking an avatar. it'd be tremendous, quite frankly.

@PsyChuan @lunarvale @WetDogSquad @river That would be one of the available options, yes; the 'presented identity' or 'speaker' option, in the current model.

I'm also considering some sort of 'associated account' model, where the account is outwardly separate but sign-ins can be associated/chained. That may serve dual purpose for eg. managing bot accounts.

Honestly, having both would be best. Changable aliases per account and easy account linking together would be the best option.
