We will be having a little post parade BBQ at Layer Zero (nokomis area), we will have vegan food, lmk if you are interested in coming !
added a save feature to https://vore.website this morning - users can now click "save" next to any post you'd like, and vore will submit a request to https://archive.is to store the post in question!!
so, all of the posts that you choose to save via vore will remain available indefinitely, even if the original website disappears (which is really common tbh!!)
@forestjohnson this has been solved!! it was an infinite time parsing loop, lolz
huh. vore.website has been having performance issues. after some examination with @forestjohnson, we realized that a particular feed was tripping it up:
https://www.idealista.pt/news/rss/v2/latest-news.xml
i've removed it from vore for now, but haven't figured out what's so unique about the feed that it chokes my rss library up. something cyclical i think??
anyway!! vore should now be lightning fast.

The Fediverse has a Twitch-style live streaming and chat platform @owncast:
You can follow OwnCast accounts from Mastodon etc, streams will post in your timeline when going live. Some accounts to follow: https://fedi.directory/tag/owncast
You can use your Mastodon etc account to verify your identity in OwnCast streams' chat.
Anyone can make an OwnCast server, though at moment it requires some tech skill (more info at https://owncast.online/quickstart/).
